We had a great experience during our city break, with two key location facts that we enjoyed. the rooms were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We also appreciated the 10% discount offered at the nearby spa. the overall vibe of the place was peaceful and welcoming.
Although there were some negatives, we still had an overall pleasant stay. the shared bathroom was a bit overpriced, and the unisex toilets lacked privacy.

The hotel was a beautiful renovated school with a great vibe and stunning lake views. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, and the common areas were cozy and inviting. The breakfast buffet was superb, and the staff provided excellent guidance and local tips for exploring the area.
Couldn't stay longer.

The guesthouse was homely and relaxing. The thermal spa was a short walk away. The landscape views were stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Access to a kitchen saved on meals. Quirky retro features added charm. Clean and comfortable surroundings. Top-notch experience for a hostel.
Nothing negative to say.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The common areas were my favorite part - they had such a relaxing and peaceful vibe. The soft lighting and soothing music really added to the atmosphere. Plus, the location right by the beautiful lake was a huge bonus. It was the perfect place to unwind and plan my day.
All was great, no complaints at all.

The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, with a high mountain face at the front and hot springs on the edge of a huge lake at the back. It was the perfect romantic escape. Additionally, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
One downside was that there were no hot-plates or gas burners in the large kitchen and dining area, making cooking impossible. Additionally, the thin walls made it difficult to have a quiet and private experience, as we could hear conversations from the adjoining rooms.

Amazing art deco furniture, lovely rooms, great facilities, helpful staff, well located for exploring Pingvellir National Park and seeing the Northern lights.
Nothing could have been better.

this guesthouse truly exceeded our expectations. it felt more like a hotel than a hostel with its clean and comfortable rooms. the staff, although initially cool, showed trust and were very accommodating during our late-night drinking session in the library. the attention to detail in the interior design and the interesting historical heritage added to the overall charm of the place. we highly recommend it.

The accommodation is located on a hill overlooking a picturesque lake, providing a stunning view. the common areas are beautifully furnished, creating a cozy atmosphere to relax. the rooms are clean and well-decorated, with books available in every room. the staff is friendly and helpful, offering great advice on local attractions and itineraries.
It would be more convenient if there was a fully-equipped kitchen to cook their own meals, as the current cooking facilities are limited.

This hotel is situated on a hill with stunning views of a nearby lake. the room we stayed in was cozy and the service provided was gracious. the breakfast had a variety of options to choose from. We enjoyed spending time in the lounge playing board games with friends. the nearby hot spa was a perfect way to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The hotel's Wi-Fi connection was spotty.

Celebrating New Year at this hostel was an amazing experience. The complimentary hot cocoa and cookies provided during the New Year's Eve countdown was a nice touch. The location was perfect, close to all the popular tourist attractions and a short walk to the hot springs. There were also some cute farm animals on site which added to the charm of the place. The spacious communal area was perfect for socializing and meeting new people.
While the breakfast was delicious, the dinner served was a little disappointing.

We stayed in the biggest common room, but only shared it with two others. We got great tips from the receptionist and had an amazing day visiting nearby sites. The discount at the nearby spa was a great bonus and the free parking was very convenient. Despite some shortcomings, we overall recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.
